Awston Holdings is the creation of Andrew W Scott. Andrew worked for Australian Chartered Accounting firms in the disciplines of taxation, audit and management accounting from 1986 to 1992. Andrew then decided to start his own business, taking equity positions in new and existing businesses. This collection of businesses grew into Awston Holdings, which was incorporated on 11 February 1997.
Over the years Awston (pronounced "Orston") has established and sold a number of businesses, provided consulting advice and written reports and business plans for others. Andrew is the public face of the business, but over the years Awston has had a total of 72 operatives analysing profitable business and investment opportunities worldwide. These business opportunities have been as diverse as retailing, finance, property, sharemarket investment and market arbitrage on many of the markets worldwide. Awston's investment and investment research has taken it to the Carribean, England, France, Holland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the Phillipines, the United States and Vanuatu as well as all six states and two territories of Australia. Awston's main office has always been located in either Sydney and Melbourne in Australia. Most of our activities have been "behind the scenes", commercially in confidence and subject to confidentiality agreements.
In recent years Awston has been focussing on report writing and feasibility studies, providing management consulting advice and share trading, although we always remain open to any business proposal, including taking equity positions in businesses or short-term investment opportunities.
Our CEO, Andrew W Scott, has conducted entertaining public speaking and informative training courses in a variety of interesting areas such as wealth creation, diet and fitness, leadership, team building, change management, and life balance. In the past he has conducted business mentoring and life coaching programs, although time constraints no longer permit him to conduct these.
